Myth #3 – I can use Free Resources. While there is a lot of good information available online, how can you find it, if you don’t know what you’re looking for? This is the trap that most “newbies” fall into. It’s also what fuels to furnaces of the big gurus.
Listen, most humans are like water. They take the course of least resistance. The purpose of marketing is to get you to take action. It has nothing to do with your intelligence. That’s why smart people buy into the ridiculous claims made by a lot of marketing professionals. For example, here’s the subject line from a recent email I received:

Why do people fall for this? Desperation, greed, fear? There are many reasons. In the end, most are sorrowfully disappointed.
